On November 18, 2024, academics, industry researchers, and professionals invested in advancing offshore wind technology are gathering in Halifax for a forum on research and development for offshore wind in Nova Scotia.

The registration-only event is called the Nova Scotia Offshore Wind R&D Forum (R&D Forum) and it is taking place at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.

The promise of the R&D Forum is reflected in the program. 56 experts are presenting on specific aspects of their completed research to delegates. The topics follow three streams of interest - technical, environment, and policy and regulatory - and run concurrently, in order to maximize the forum's effect.
