The Regional Assessment of Offshore Wind Development in Newfoundland and Labrador was launched in March 2023. It is being conducted for areas offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. Through its work the Committee is engaging Indigenous groups, federal and provincial authorities, non-government organizations and the public. The Regional Assessment will help inform future project-specific federal impact assessments and decisions for offshore wind projects in these areas.
