The Regional Assessment of Offshore Wind Development in Nova Scotia was launched in March 2023 and is currently ongoing. It is being conducted for areas offshore Nova Scotia. Through its work, the Regional Assessment Committee is engaging Indigenous groups, federal and provincial authorities, non-government organizations and the public. The Regional Assessment will help inform future project-specific federal impact assessments and decisions for offshore wind projects in these areas.
