The Desktop model can be accessed by installing and running the model components on your device. This requires the use of Python, and a command line interface. If you wish to run ACES without installing, you can access the web-based ACES Cloud through our online server. Please select the option you are interested in to jump to that section.
How to Download ACES Desktop
To download ACES, you will need to set up Anaconda, access the model files, and create the modelling environment. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to set up the model based on the operating system for your device.
How to Run ACES Desktop
To run the ACES model, you will need to set up your configuration file to tell the model which files to run. You can run the model from your terminal using commands that will produce results files and a dashboard visualization for you to analyze. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to run the model based on the operating system for your device.
How to Create and Run Scenarios
To run model scenarios, you can decide what parameters to change based on the questions you want to ask. Create your alternative scenarios by adjusting parameters in the model inputs, and run that database through the model to produce outputs and analyze model results. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to run model scenarios.
As an alternative to installing the model on your device, ACES can be run on a cloud application that eliminates the need for using Python and running command lines. To use this, you will need to upload your ACES model database to the cloud, and the ACES server will process the data and produce results for you to download and analyze.
