Run the ACES Model

The ACES model can be accessed by installing and running the model components on your device. This requires the use of Python, and a command line interface. See the tutorials below.

How to Download ACES 

To download ACES, you will need to set up Anaconda, access the model files, and create the modelling environment. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to set up the model based on the operating system for your device.

How to Run ACES 

To run the ACES model, you will need to set up your configuration file to tell the model which files to run. You can run the model from your terminal using commands that will produce results files and a dashboard visualization for you to analyze. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to run the model based on the operating system for your device.

How to Create and Run Scenarios

To run model scenarios, you can decide what parameters to change based on the questions you want to ask. Create your alternative scenarios by adjusting parameters in the model inputs, and run that database through the model to produce outputs and analyze model results. Refer to the written instructions and video tutorial for a step-by-step process of how to run model scenarios.

ACES Files

This folder contains all the files and databases to run the full model using Python on your machine. Note you will require a minimum of 16GB of RAM to run the full regional model (ACES-7D-6S.sqlite) from your device. Please see instructions on model installation.
