Join Lisa Young, Executive Director and Albert Marshall, Elder Advisor, of the Unama’ki Institute of Natural Resources as they present on environmentalism as a way of life, and how  to better collaborate to achieve a net zero emissions future within Indigenous communities.  They will consider questions including:

  • How we can empower meaningful Indigenous leadership and partnership through Netukulimk,  Etuaptmumk / Two-Eyed Seeing and the concept of Balancing Traditional Aboriginal Knowledge and Contemporary Science through shared sustainability goals.
  • How we can forge preservation and understanding of cultural beliefs and practices amongst all communities to build capacity and effect a strong vision for Indigenous peoples and the future to drive our climate and carbon neutrality goals.
  • What (or who) is missing from the current landscape of collaborations, partnerships, and alliances.
