iFormit Solutions Inc. provides advanced smart metering technology services aimed at enhancing the efficiency and transparency in utility distribution and consumption for landlords, property managers, utility distribution companies, and those requiring electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.
Metering technology has existed for years, including smart meters, but these are expensive and complex. The objective is to make metering accessible, affordable and retrofitting the old buildings with modern metering system without breaking the bank by:
- Converting conventional meters to remote reading with our multi-protocol iMID Connector, helping utilities avoid costly smart meter deployments. Providing cloud base Advanced Smart Metering Infrastructure for real-time utility data.
- Using Generative-AI and machine learning algorithm training our system to identify power sources and appliance usage with minimal user input. This allows real-time tracking of electricity usage down to the smallest appliances.
We are finalizing a pilot project with Mahone Bay Electricity Utility to retrieve existing standalone meters’ protocols and convert them to remote meter readings. The pilot will evaluate residential, commercial, and bi-directional meters, deploying five iMID Connectors to gather real-time data on energy distribution, consumption, and efficiency.
Additionally, Vida Living has approved iFormit's system retrofitting one of their old buildings. A 24-unit building to address challenges in monitoring water and electricity usage, with plans for a wider rollout.
These initiatives aim to provide accessible, old buildings metering retrofitting, cost-effective smart metering, enhancing accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency for utility distribution and consumption.
We also need to clarify that our solution doesn’t put us in any competition with Nova Scotia Power or any primary utility company or provider in any state province or market. Rather, we are strategically filling the gap the primary utility companies are not filling, such as providing sub-metering to single homeowners and providing real-time utility data to the consumers.
