Amr Sami is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience leading infrastructure and energy transition projects in Canada and internationally. At Halifax Transit, he leads the shift toward zero-emission operations, including battery-electric buses and hydrogen applications in future transit. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Canadian Urban Transit Association’s Engineering Committee, supporting sustainable transit initiatives. His work integrates technical, financial, and environmental strategies to build a resilient, sustainable economy and advance the future of clean public transit.
