Interest around nature-based solutions (NbS) is growing in government, non-governmental organizations and the private sector. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) published the Global Standard for NbS in 2020 and, since then, the concept has become more effectively integrated with climate change adaptation and mitigation. But there are still challenges when it comes to understanding what really is – and what is not – an NbS, and how best to support sustainable implementation. This webinar will include a discussion of the NbS concept and the global standard and show what is possible, using examples from both urban and rural ecosystems.
