A public education and engagement program has been developed to support the successful implementation of the Nova Scotia's 2030 Clean Power Plan. Drawing on existing research, the program will highlight the potential for renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy, offshore wind energy, and clean hydrogen production. The campaign aims to empower individuals, communities, and industries to make informed decisions and embrace sustainable energy solutions.
Objectives
The program's primary goal is to provide Nova Scotians with accessible, credible, and objective information about the transition to a net-zero electricity supply, its local benefits, and citizens' role in this transformation. The program seeks to generate excitement and inspire innovative contributions from Nova Scotians by raising awareness and fostering understanding.
Deliverables
- Educational materials and resources increasing the baseline knowledge of onshore wind in Nova Scotia
This project is supported by funding from the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, Priorities and Planning Division.
